Setting Passage Mode

In this article, you will learn how to set/disable Passage Mode, so between certain hours, a room can be accessed without PIN or e-key.

Tip:

  • With "Passage mode" you can make a smart lock temporarily go offline during the day for a period of time. If you set the passage mode for example from 2 PM till 6 PM, means for this period of time, the door is open and no key is required. After 6 pm door closes and you need a key to open it.
  • You can enable or disable this feature from the Spaces App.
  • If the passage mode is enabled we can see its label in the common area list in Dashboard (If you hover on its label, you can see hours and days it is set on).

 

How to Set Passage Mode in Spaces App:

  1. Open Spaces App.
  2. Choose the room in which lock you want to set Passage Mode.
  3. Select the 3-dot menu at the top right of the app.
  4. Select "Passage Mode".
  5. Enable Passage Mode toggle to see Passage Mode settings.
  6. Select the week-days, when you want It to work (chosen days will become marked blue).
  7. Choose the "Start time", then "End time".
  8. Press the "Save" button and make sure you are close to the lock.
  9. After it is processed, you will hear an opening voice, see a green sign and you can press the button "Done", so the Passage Mode will be set.

 

Warning:

  • You should fill all fields, otherwise, you will get an error.
  • The lock will not be opened automatically, you need to open it by pressing the "open" button after it will get green and will remain unlocked until the set end time.

Note:

  • When the passage mode is on, there is a label "Passage Mode" in the Spaces app is black, after the end time, you can hear the noise of closing, and the label gets lighter.

 

How to Disable "Passage Mode"

  1. Open Spaces app.
  2. Select the room in which lock "Passage Mode" is on.
  3. Select the 3-dot menu at the top right of the app.
  4. Select "Passage Mode".
  5. Press the "Passage Mode" toggle.
  6. Press the "Disable" button, so the Passage Mode will be turned off.

      Note:

      After "Passage Mode" is disabled, its label will be gone on the locks feed.
