Step 2 - Spaces App Sections & Menu Explained

An overview of all sections and items you see on your Spaces App when you first log-in

Updated over 5 months ago

Once you log into the Spaces App, you'll first see the Rooms list. In the bottom part, along with the room section, you will see other three options: "Quick," "Common," and "Message." Additionally, there's a slide menu on the left side of the page for accessing preferences and more.

Requirements

  1. You need the appropriate permissions to access each of these sections. You can view the different permissions here.

  2. If you are not the Admin, we recommend contacting the Admin user of your Goki Dashboard to confirm your permissions.

1. Rooms

In the Rooms section, we have 3 states of showing rooms

  • Empty state: If no room is added (You can add rooms via spaces or Goki dashboard)

  • List of Rooms that are NOT connected to SmartLocks

  • List of Rooms that are connected to SmartLocks

You can also search & filter the list.

Note
You can add rooms on the Spaces App using the black-ish button at the bottom right corner. The created room will automatically appear on the Goki dashboard as well.

2. Quick

In this section, you can easily find your nearby and bookmarked SmartLocks. You can access them, open the SmartLocks, connect them to a room, check their information, and more!

Note

To find the SmartLocks, you'll have to consider two things:

  1. Make sure your Bluetooth connection is stable and the Spaces App has Bluetooth permission.

  2. Ensure the SmartLock is ready; you'll have to tap the little checkmark on the SmartLock's keypad to get it right on track.

3. Common

The "Common" section is similar to the Room section but the difference is that these are Common Areas.

Each room can be connected to several Common Areas. So that when the guest is checked in, they automatically gain access to the corresponding Common Areas.

Note:

You can create Common Areas and connect SmartLocks to them via the "Common" section.

4. Message

In this section, you can reply to guests' messages and communicate with Goki App users. While you cannot initiate chats from the Spaces App, you can view chat histories and respond to messages.

Note:

You need to have the correct permission to access this section. Otherwise, you'll see the message "Insufficient Permission."

Please contact your property owner if you think this is a mistake.

5. Slide Menu

You have the below options in the menu. You can find them in the Spaces App, on the left side of the many bar sections.

โ€‹Note:

Based on your access level, some of the menu items might not be visible to you.

  • Edit Profile: You can edit your information and image.

  • Open Goki dashboard: Tapping on it will open your Property's Goki dashboard.

  • Change Property: You can switch between multiple properties if you have more than one.

  • Generate Login Code: This is your Property's unique QR Code; you can scan it using the Goki Tablet camera to log in to your property Arrival.

  • Add Devices: You can connect Goki devices to any Room or Common Area.

  • Goki Tags: From there, you have a list of Goki Tags with their names and with the status:

    • Connected or not to the door.

    • Also, you can add new.

  • Preferences: From here, you can:

    • Turn on/off showing not connected rooms, so you won't see the "not Connected" list in the "Room" and "Common Area" sections.

    • You can choose "Default Admin PIN" to be set automatically during the setup process.

    • Notifications: You can turn the "Chat & messages" toggle off if you do not want to get notifications related to guest communications with the Property

    • Choose App Icons for your Phone screen. (iOS only)

  • What's new: Get updated about Spaces App's improvements.

Caution:

You may not be able to see some of the menus and sections, only because of your permissions, as explained previously. Please ask your property owner/admin about this.
