Step 4 - Account Types

Some Goki behaviours might be different based on your account type.

We have 4 account types:

  1. Not approved

  2. Trial

  3. Live (Approved)

  4. Archived

1. Not Approved

All new clients are initially marked as "Not Approved" when they create their accounts. Once your profile is complete, you can contact our sales or support team to review and approve it. This process ensures the quality of our community remains high while allowing everyone to create an account and try the system for free.

Certain functionalities, such as Autopilot and Marketplace, will be limited. To access all features, you can contact our sales or support team to upgrade your account to "Trial" status.

2. Trial

Once a property is in trial mode, all features are unlocked. However, we impose some limitations on email communications to prevent accidental spamming of your guests. Other than this, the trial version functions similarly to the live version.

Once you are on Trial make sure you have done these steps:

  1. Complete your property's profile.

  2. Add your test emails to Settings > Emails Whitelist otherwise, you will not get reservation emails.

  3. Make sure you have turned on the automation cards you want on Settings > Autopilot. You have to activate at least one card to generate the access before the check-in and another one that sends this access through email to the guest.

  4. Use Settings > Marketplace to connect to other apps including your property management system (PMS). In our Help Center, you can find articles explaining how to connect all the PMS that have a direct integration with Goki.

After completing sufficient testing and installing SmartLocks, or when you're ready to go live, contact our sales or support team to verify your account and review your configuration. This ensures you are using Goki to its full potential.


3. Live

Before contacting our sales team to go live, please ensure you have completed the following steps:

  1. Complete your property profile with high-quality photos to enhance your presence on the Goki app.

  2. Configure Autopilot to your preferences. Without this, no emails will be sent, and no room access will be granted automatically.

  3. If you are using a PMS, ensure it is connected to Goki.

  4. Add and map your rooms and beds to your PMS.

  5. Test and know the main features that Goki offers.

Once you are "Live", everyone on the Goki app can see you and we promote your property to our users.

In the Goki dashboard, there will be no pop-up regarding the account type status on your side panel, so if there is nothing shown, you are live.

4. Archived

If your "Not Approved" property has not logged in for 30 days or if you contact the support team to remove your property, it will be marked as "Archived" and completely deleted after 30 days.


Warning:

Once a property is deleted, we cannot retrieve its data and you lose your access to it.
