Introduction
Goki offers a convenient instant communication system that facilitates seamless interactions between properties and guests. This functionality is accessible through both the Goki Dashboard and the Spaces App. When you send a message to a guest, they receive notifications, and the message promptly appears in their Messages box within the Goki App.
1. Send messages to the guests via Goki Dashboard
Login to the Goki Dashboard
To initiate a chat with a guest, simply open their profile by clicking on their full name. Please note that the guest's full name will only be clickable if they have the Goki app installed. Once you click on their name, you will be able to start a conversation with the guest
Type the message in the Conversation box and click send
Note:
The messages can be found on the left sidebar of the Goki Dashboard.
Notifications: Make sure you allow notifications for incoming messages in your browser.
Staff and guests are able to copy the abstracted link/text on the messages and send it to others if needed.
Message Limitations
You can only message guests who are registered in the Goki App.
You can't send messages to a guest who has deleted the Goki App account.
The guests have the option to turn on/off the notifications for Chats, but they will see the message in the dedicated section.
You must have the permission "Guests & travellers>View chat conversations and ability to chat with guests" enabled to use this function.
2. Send messages to the guests via Spaces App
Once the guest sends the message to the Property, you will get a notification and it instantly appears on Spaces App.
Notes:
From the Spaces App, you can only reply to the guests who send you a message, otherwise, to send the first message to the guests you should use Goki Dashboard.
If the guest sends you a message, you will get a notification on your phone and you can open it by tapping on it.
You can Mark as read and Unread by dragging the message row right to the left.
Staff and guests are able to copy the abstracted link/text on the messages and send it to others if needed.
Staff can't send payment requests and Extended stay quotes via Spaces.
You are able to send and receive messages in different Properties accounts, regardless of your default Property (in the menu).
For example, if you are a staff member with one account in 2 Properties and in both you have chat-related permissions, no matter in which Property you are logged in - In the "Message" section, you have access to both Property massages, under the Property name.
Notifications:
"Chat & massages" notifications are turned on by default in Spaces App.
If you want to turn it off, follow the steps bellow
Open Spaces App
Search and open Preferences from the Menu Bar
Open "Notifications"
Turn off the "Chat & messages" toggle, So you won't get notifications on your Phone
