Customize Your Check-in Process

Arrival & Pre-Check-in have some options to customize based on your process.

The Goki Arrival App is built by the Goki team and is working with your PMS directly, but it is very limited in comparison to your PMS functionality and may act differently based on each PMS.


Requirements:

  1. This feature is only available to the trial and approved accounts.

  2. You should connect Arrival from Settings > Marketplace >
    All Apps > Arrival.


Options

After connecting the Arrival you have the below options to customize your experience:

  • Customize Form: Choose the input of mandatory fields in your check-in form and need your guests to complete before going to their room.

  • Terms & Conditions: This is off by default. You can turn it on and ask guests to confirm it by a simple check box or enforce a signature.

  • Skip PMS Checking: This is explained below in detail.

  • Check-in with QR code: This will generate a QR code and let your guests use their phones to check in.

Storing the Collected Information

The fields on the Arrival form are mandatory for the main guest and optional for the companions. We store a copy of the collected information in the Goki Dashboard which you can see on the reservations. And also pass it to the PMS to store it.


Warning:

Some PMS are limited and do not store the information Goki passes. If this is something you want to see on your PMS, you need to contact your PMS.


Goki Early Check-in

With Goki's early check-in feature, you will be able to let guests access the room before check-in time as soon as the reservation status is changed to Checked-in.


Enable Early Check-in

If you want to use this feature and let guests access the room before check-in time, you can enable it from

Goki dashboard > Settings > Basic information > Danger Zone > Enable "Early check-in" toggle


Warning

If you use the PMS time Zone, ensure you have set the same time Zones in PMS and Goki. If in Goki, you have an incorrect time Zone. It won't let guests access it till the time the reservation was checked in, but according to the set time zone in Goki.


Skip PMS Checking

Goki Arrival App (which is available on both Android and iOS) is built on top of your PMS and it tries to check with the PMS owing amount and room ready state (2 common causes of why a PMS rejects a check-in). If PMS sends us one of those items, we show a UI to prevent the check-in process for a better user experience.

You can Skip this PMS checking by turning off the "PMS Checking" toggles. Once it is turned off, we skip checking with PMS, pass all the information to your PMS, and ask it to check the guests in.

Still, your PMS may not check the guest in and Goki cannot go around it unless you change your PMS settings or your internal process. You can find what was the error that PMS did not check the guest in by pressing the check-in button on your PMS and seeing the error or contacting your PMS developers.

No tablet? Use Arrival with QR code

Goki Arrival App is built to work on tablets by default. You also have an option to make a QR code and print it for your guest, so that they can use their phones to do the check-in at your property.

Limitation:

  • On the trial account, only the guests whose emails are added in white-listed will get the Goki emails.
