Goki Tags

In this article we'll be covering Goki Tags, how to use them, use cases, and more!

Updated over 7 months ago

Introduction

Goki tags are an optional add-on. You can utilize Goki tags as an alternative way to open your Goki SmartLocks. These wristbands are used mostly for emergencies and housekeeping. There are no limitations for the wristbands themselves, meaning each Goki tag can be used for an indefinite number of Goki SmartLocks.

Note:

  1. Goki Tags can be used on Goki SmartLocks and Smart Access (but not on Smart Discs).

  2. In addition to Goki Wristbands, MiFare Cards and other similar products may also be usable.

  3. The wristbands contain passive RFID tags that utilise the reader's energy for power and do not have a battery built-in.

Goki Tags Setup

Follow these steps to connect your Goki Tags to your Goki SmartLock:

  • Open the Spaces App

  • Open the Slide menu

  • Go to "Goki Tags" or go to "Add Devices" and select "Connect Tag."

  • Stay close to the SmartLock, tap the SmartLock, and wait for your smartphone to detect a Goki SmartLock.

  • Select the door you want to connect your Goki Tag to.

  • It may ask you to tap the Goki Tag against the SmartLock pad several times. Please do so.

  • You have successfully set up your Goki tag!

Goki Tags can be programmed across different accounts if you have multiple properties.
Once you set up the Goki Tag for one property, you can switch the accounts and set it up again for the other properties.

Note:

  1. If you are using an unsupported SmartLock, you will get the message "Not Supported" under the name of the SmartLock. Goki tags are only usable with Goki SmartLocks.

  2. You will need to connect your tags to each room separately. It may take some time for the initial setup this way.

  3. You can rename/remove the connected tag by clicking on a 3-dot icon near the tag name.

  4. You can manage tags remotely (assign & remove tags when the lock is online)

Assign the Tags remotely: When the lock is Online

    1. First, you need to register each Goki tag on a SmartLock by holding the tag on the SmartLock so the tag will be added to the system.

    2. When the tag is registered and connected to at least one lock, you can connect tags to other rooms remotely:
From the Spaces App > Choose Room > 3 dots section > Tags
You will see the registered tags list and by clicking the tag name you will be able to connect it to the lock remotely.

Remove the Tags Remotely: When the lock is Online

a. From the Spaces App > Side Menu > Goki Tags > Select a Tag.

b. You will see a list of connected spaces/room > swipe the left to delete

c. Once the spaces/rooms are removed, you can Delete the Tag from the system

If the lock is Offline:

a. You need to be close to the lock and turn on the Bluetooth to remove the Tag.

Warning:

  • Goki Tags are generally used for housekeeping and emergencies. It's not advised to use the Goki Tags as a keycard.

  • Tags can not be added remotely in bulk; they must be added individually.

  • If you reset the SmartLock, all tags will be unassigned.
