PIN Logs

In this article, we will be going through room's PIN logs Settings

Updated over 8 months ago

Each guest/staff action who opened the room should be shown in the Logs section from every room's settings with the user/traveler name, dates (when it was opened/or failed attempts), and how it was opened (with PIN or APP).

There are examples of the PIN logs and an explanation of the different logs:

"A user" can be any person who knows the PIN to open the door and in this case, it was a manually created 4-digit PIN.

"X Koot" is the name of the guest who opened the door with the PIN assigned to the reservation.

Someone tried to open the door with a PIN which has been disabled. You can go to the tab "PINs" and confirm if the PIN was disabled.

Someone tried to open the door with a reservation PIN that is not active yet, meaning that is before the check-in time or it is expired (after check-out time or not used within 24 hours)

The staff member tried to open the door with the Spaces App and remotely.

The Guest tried to open the door with the SmartKey via the Goki App after check-out time or before check-in time.

"A user" - any person who knows andhase access to the Admin PIN tried to open the door.

"A user" - any person who knows the Admin PIN to open the door and in this case, you can go to the Spaces App > tab " Admin PIN" and confirm if the PIN was changed or if there are any hardware issues.

"A User" - A staff member opened the room via the GokiTag, "Patty" is the Name of the GokiTag to easily identify who belongs to it.

Sync the Logs

The system automatically Syncs the current logs to check the updated PIN logs via the Spaces app for all the Goki Devices:

If the lock is online, you can see the new log, Immediately after the action (enter a PIN or Open the lock via the Spaces App).

If the lock is offline, and the user doesn’t sync logs manually in the logs section only see the logs when the lock is opened via the Spaces app

There are two types of Sync operations:

  1. Syncing recent logs: When the user opens the logs page on the Spaces app, it will be done automatically if the user is close to the lock.

  2. Full Syncing: only starts if the user taps on the Sync button manually, it will read all lock logs. This may take longer as it reads and uploads all logs that are saved on the hardware.

Good to know:

SmartLock PRO can keep 5000 logs while other devices (SmartLock, SmartAccess Panel, SmartDisc) only keep the last 500 logs.

There is a limit to showing logs in Goki Dashboard and Spaces App: In Goki Dashboard you can see 100 logs, and in the Spaces App - 500.

When opening the lock with the Goki App, the system first tries to open via Bluetooth and then via wi-fi.
