Only use the metal key to open the door as a back up in an emergency situation.

Reasons for SmartLocks not working

There are some reasons why a lock may not be working to list a few:

flat battery, not programmed, incorrect date/time, hardware fault, etc.

To establish what the problem is & fix any problems you are required to run the 'Diagnosis' function. Here is an article on how to do it.

Using the Metal Key

In an urgent situation and after trying everything, if you still can't open the door you can use the metal key. Just make sure you remember:

  • Keys are unique to each door, please label them when installing SmartLocks.

  • There are 2 metal keys for each SmartLock.

  • The handle MUST be on the door for the key to work. The cover plate of the handle is branded with the Goki logo which you can remove with a suction cup.

Steps to open the lock with the Metal Key

Follow steps and check the Video below

  1. Turn the metal key to 120 degrees

  2. Make sure you are light with the KeyM

  3. Move the handle up and down it will catch and open


Note

  • Make sure you are using the Key from the right box of the Smart Lock, as they are individual for each
