Common Area PIN

In this article, we'll be going through creating PINs for Common Areas.

Updated over a month ago

You can create a Common Area and assign it to rooms you want and generate PINs for them, so the guest who has a reservation for that room will have access to the Common Area too.

Note

  • If the lock is connected to the WiFi a shorter PIN can be generated.

  • The PIN won't be generated if the lock is offline, for this case, you can use this 4-digit PIN, which will be sent to guests (this PIN has no expiry unless you set it while creating).

  • Please note that PINs generated after check-in and mid-stay are not emailed to the guests. You can resend the PIN email to make sure everyone's got it!

Note

  1. The PIN can be created from the Spaces App or Goki dashboard (If you have a GokiAir setup).

Pre-Conditions

  • Make sure you are near the SmartLock, the SmartLock screen is on, and you have a stable internet connection. (Unless you're using a GokiAir)

  • Have Bluetooth and location turned on.

  • You Should have "Rooms and common area doors" permissions.
