Mews property management system has one of the best integrations with Goki compared to many other PMS.

This feature is only available to the trial and approved accounts.

Connect Mews to Goki

  • Go to Settings > Marketplace > All apps

  • Click on the Connect button on the Mews card.

  • Enter the Access Token which you can get it from the Mews dashboard

    • Click on the Mews menu on the top left

    • Go to Marketplace > My subscriptions

    • Find Goki integration and click on the Edit button

    • Make sure the integration is Enabled to have an active integration

    • Click on the Key icon on the top right

    • Now you can copy your Access token

  • Press the Connect button.

Options

On Mews settings you have below options to customize your experience:

  • Forward check-in details: once it is on, Goki will push the traveler's information to Mews (if you are using Goki Check-in app).

  • Import Rooms & Beds: explained in the room mapping post.

  • Mews Paymasters: ignore owing on these accounts on check-in.

1. Room mapping

For Goki to understand which reservation belongs to which room, you need to map your Goki rooms/beds to Mews rooms/beds.

You have an option to do it manually or automatically, based on your installation process.


Limitation:

From MEWS we import and map only Rooms, Beds, and Dorms not any other type of accommodations ( Apartments, Villa or ....)

2. Automatic Key generation

Mews sends reservations to Goki. Whenever Mews sends a reservation update that indicates the reservation is checked in, we generate a SmartKey as long as there is a SmartLock on the room.

  • Make sure Mews and Goki are connected.

  • Make sure your rooms & beds are mapped between Goki and Mews.

  • Now for every reservation created or updated in Mews, you will get a reservation on Goki

  • When you check the travelers in Mews, on Gboard you will see a PIN for the reservation (if you have a SmartLock installed on the room otherwise you just see a green tick showing the user is checked in)


Mews Integration Limitations

Mews only sends updates to Goki on these events: creating a new reservation, changes on from/to dates, status, and room.


3. Goki Check-in

You can also use Goki Check-in to automate the check-in process and SmartKey/PIN generation (You can learn about it here).


Mews Integration Limitations

Owing Limitation:

Goki Check-in app will stop travelers if they have any owing by default. You can change this behavior by using the Paymasters option as explained above or disabling the "PMS Owing Checking" option from Settings > Marketplace > Goki Check-in (this option will work if the room is ready)


Room Status Limitation:

Goki Check-in will stop travelers if the room assigned to this reservation is not marked inspected.

You can change this behavior by disabling the "PMS Room Status Checking" toggle from Settings > Marketplace > Goki Check-in (this option can still fail if Mews cannot check the traveler in due to any other limitations)


Trial Account limitations:

  • Only the guests whose emails are added in white-listed will get the Goki emails.
