Now you can connect your Twilio account to send SMS for PINs instead of email.
Whenever you can send an email in our Autopilot, you should be able to send an SMS via Twilio integration too (we may have more SMS partners eventually).
Notes:
To use Twilio, you must first have your confirmed Twilio Phone Number.
This feature is only available to the trial and approved accounts.
Only the guests whose emails are added in white-listed on the trial account will get the Goki emails.
On trial, sms will be sent to any guest if the mobile number is in the reservation details (from PMS/Arrival), we do not have a limitation for it, but if you do not want to spam guests, you need to turn off the related automation.
How to connect a Twilio account
Go to Settings > Marketplace
Click on the Enable button on the Twilio card
Fill in the required info below, which you can find by clicking your account name from the left bar and checking the Account Info window:
Account SID
Auth token
Twilio Phone Number
Put those info on Goki dashboard >> Marketplace >> Twillio >> Connect and save
How to send SMS
Make sure the related Automation is ON (Settings > Autopilot)
When access is generated → Send notification or email “PIN generated”, Learn More
When access is changed → Send SMS, Learn More
So after the travellers are checked in & the access is generated or changed, the travellers will receive an SMS.
You can track SMS from Gboard >> Reservation drawer >> Logs. It has several status(sent, delivered & failed).
Notes:
The guests who entered their mobile number through the Arrival app process or in Goki app will get an SMS when the PIN is generated or changed (based on the active Autopilot).
Check on Gboard that their reservation has a room assigned and a PIN is generated
