1. Introduction
Before you start the installation, we advise you to do the following:
Make sure the batteries are fully charged.
Watch the "Unboxing" video and read this article about the technical specifications.
Check the Wi-Fi requirements for SmartLock Pro here.
Note:
If your network has a firewall, you must ensure it is not blocking wifilock.goki.travel:4999, or it may use the alias: saas-wifi-locks.goki.travel:4999; otherwise, you will get a timeout error.
2. Test the SmartLock Pro
Before connecting a SmartLock Pro to Goki, you need to create your rooms & beds on the Goki Dashboard.
Once you have created your rooms & beds on the Goki Dashboard, you can use the Spaces app to connect each lock to the corresponding Goki room.
Test each SmartLock Pro by using the Goki Spaces app to unlock the SmartLock Pro, ensuring the disc lights up green and the outer handle opens the latch.
Test each SmartLock Pro using the admin PIN to unlock, ensuring the disc lights up green and the outer handle opens the latch.
More information on connecting the lock to the room is available here.
Tip
It's best to label all of your SmartLock Pros with the room they will be installed in, connect them to Goki and test them before installing them on the door!
Note:
A hard reset is required if the SmartLock Pro is not working as expected.
You can check on "how to do Hard reset on SmartLock Pro" - here.
3. Install SmartLock Pro on the door
Once you are confident the SmartLock Pros are connected and working correctly, it's time to connect the SmartLock to the door.
3.1. Preparing for installation
3.2 Changing handle orientation
Note - Position of the arrows
If you are using a single tubular latch, please make sure that the arrow is pointing to "L" if your lock is installed on the right-hand side of the door and 'R' if it is installed on the left-hand side of the door.
In the example below, the lock is installed on the left-hand side, and the arrow should be pointing to "R".
If you are using a mortise latch, please ensure that the arrow points to Double Latch unless you have mortise 7098; in that case, you must select "L" or "R", as described above.
Important: This is a critical step in the setup of the SmartLock Pro. If this is not installed correctly (e.g. arrow pointing up to 'Single' or just slightly off R, L or double latch), there will be no motor noise, and once installed on the door, the lock cannot be unlocked.
3.3 Installing the SmartLock Pro
Notes:
Please keep in mind each metal key is unique to the lock it came within the box.
4. Connecting your Space
After successfully installing your SmartLock Pro, the next step is to connect it to your space by using the Spaces App and following the instructions provided here.
