Updated over 8 months ago

The Goki Spaces App allows you to customize your SmartLock Pro. You can enable and disable many features from there, control settings such as keeping the door open for a predefined period, seeing who has accessed the room at what time, and many more things. The below features can be accessed via the "options" section inside the Goki Spaces App.

We have explained each feature in detail below.

  1. Customisation

  2. Logs

  3. Passage mode

  4. Limit Access

  5. Wi-Fi

  6. Power Save Mode

  7. Connection Status

  8. Adjust time

  9. Sync Battery

  10. Sound

  11. Remote Unlock

  12. Privacy Lock

  13. Tags

  14. Sync System information

  15. Lock Diagnosis

  16. Update Firmware

  17. Disconnect

Requirements:

  • The SmartLock Pro should be connected to the Room/Common Area.

  • You need to have "Rooms and common area doors" permissions.

Steps to access all SmartLock Pro features:

  1. Open the Spaces App and select the required "Room."

  2. Click on the '3 dots located in the top right-hand corner.

  3. The "Option" menu will open up different features available for your SmartLock Pro devices.

  4. If an option exists in a SmartLock Pro menu, it means your SmartLock Pro supports that feature. We hide options that are not supported.

Note

You can access most of the features from your Gboard, too. Check it out here for more details.

1. Customization

From this section, you can easily access the room's settings; these are options that you can see from the Goki dashboard. for more details, you can check this article

  • Room Name

  • Floor

  • Ordering

  • PMS Mapping

  • "Use as a common area" toggle

  • Common Area (list of common area rooms, which can be mapped to this room)

  • Beds

2. Lock Audit

You can easily see who has opened a door via your Goki Spaces App account, at what time, and whether they were using a PIN, SmartLock or a Goki tag. From there, you can see:

  1. PIN used for opening the SmartLock and at what time it was opened.

  2. If the SmartLock Pro was opened by a guest using their phone.

  3. If the SmartLock Pro was opened by a staff member using the Spaces App.

  4. If a Goki tag opens the SmartLock Pro. (The name of the Goki Tag used will be shown).

You can also see the failed attempts and their reasons.

Note

You can sync the SmartLock audit using the "sync" button on the top right-hand corner of your screen. 'Syncing' SmartLock logs will only refresh the list if anything is missing.

3. Passage Mode

With "Passage mode", you can keep the SmartLock Pro open for a certain period of time. For example, you can have your front door open during office hours. After the period is finished, the SmartLock Pro will automatically disengage and is locked.

You can also tap on the "OPENED" button, and it will close the door during Passage Mode.

Please note

  1. During passage mode, the SmartLock Pro will stay open after the first unlock, whether by PIN, guest App or Goki Spaces App.

  2. When the passage mode is on, SmartLock Pros with Passage Mode are labelled with a black box β—™ , and when it's off, the label shows a lighter icon.

  3. The "Open" label on the Goki Spaces App/SmartLock Pro detail is not live, so it means when we open the SmartLock Pro via the Goki Spaces App, it shows "opened" and if we reopen the Goki Spaces App, it does not show the current state e.g. "opened."

  4. If the passage mode is enabled, you can see its label in the common area list on the Gboard (If you hover on its label, you can see the hours and days it is set to).

  5. When there is a Daylight Saving, the time doesn't update automatically for the Passage Mode, and you need to manually adjust it to work accordingly:

When daylight saving starts in a zone, you need to update the passage modes 1 hour in the opposite direction of the time change. For example, if the time changes from 03:00 to 04:00, you need to set the passage mode From 6 to 10 to work from 7 to 11. When the daylight saving finishes, you should update it again from 7 to 11.

4. Limit Access

With "Limit Access", you can restrict access to Common Areas that should not be accessed before/after certain hours with a SmartKey.

For example, if you turn on the Limit Access option for a common area door for 7 AM - 9 AM, the SmartLock will not engage and remain locked before 7 AM and after 9 AM.(SmartKey works only during 7 AM - 9 AM)

Note

  • This feature only applies to Common Areas, not to the rooms set as common areas.

  • Limit Access works only for SmartKeys. Common area Shared PINs will work without any limit until you disable them.

  • If you want to limit the access for the Common area PINs as well, you can disable the reservation PIN for the common area and then limit access for the SmartKey.

  • You need not be close to the SmartLock Pro to update this.

5. Wi-Fi

Once you try connecting the SmartLock Pro to the room via the Goki Spaces app, it asks you to connect to WiFi. From the "Wi-Fi" section, you can check if it is connected to WI-FI, or if you skip this step while connecting, you can do it from here on.

Note

Make sure your Bluetooth is ON.

6. Power Save Mode

You can access this feature from the Wi-Fi section.

  • The connection becomes weaker or offline, and it will only wake up to send logs.

Note

When Power Save Mode is enabled, the SmartLock Pro will only send lock audits, and you won't be able to unlock or generate short PINs remotely.

7. Connection Status

Goki consistently looks for the strongest signal available to connect with the lock.

From this section, you can check what the Wi-fi connection status is and what is the % of it:

  • 81-100% Perfect

  • 61-80% Good

  • 41-60% Medium

  • <= 40% Weak

8. Adjust Time

Time is a very important asset for Goki SmartLocks because of every action, such as creating PINs. It depends on the time, so if the time is set in a different time zone or behind, you can adjust it.

Warning

  • If SmartLock Pro time is behind and no GokiAir is around, the random reservation PIN won't work unless time gets adjusted via the Spaces App. However, the guest can open the SmartLock via SmartKey.

  • Adjust time is done periodically automatically. Sometimes, you might need to run an adjusted time manually once it shows a warning (fix time)

9. Sync Battery

Goki tries to update the battery % when you open it via Goki Spaces App, but in some cases, for example, when you replace the battery with a fully charged one, you will be able to sync the battery via the sync battery function manually and it will update the % accordingly.

10. Sound

You can enable Sound for the SmartLock Pro to hear a beeping sound when the PIN is entered.

11. Remote Unlock

You can enable Remote Unlock for the SmartLock Pro, so you can open SmartLock Pro remotely via the Goki Spaces App using the connected Wi-Fi.

12. Privacy Lock

While the Privacy Lock is ON, guests can block other SmartKeys and PINs in order not to be disturbed. You can read more about this feature here.

13. Goki Tags

First, you need to register a Goki Tag on a SmartLock Pro by programming the Goki Tag using the SmartLock Pro (follow the steps explained here) so that the Goki Tag will be added to the system. Once programmed, you can add/remove the Goki Tag to more SmartLock Pros remotely with this feature.

14. Sync System information

Option to the Spaces app to sync system information (show SLP wifi mac address)

This feature helps to get updates, which are related to WIFi.

15. Lock Diagnosis

Lock diagnosis will help you determine and fix Goki SmartLock Pro problems.

Goki Spaces App will be able to diagnose SmartLock Pro problems such as:

  1. Check SmartLock Pro status and resolve the problems or tell you what to do.

  2. Check the ownership of the SmartLock Pro.

  3. Check the time of the SmartLock Pro and fix it if any problem exists.

Note

  • Turn your SmartLock Pro screen on and then run a lock diagnosis to see how it works.

  • When the diagnosis is run, you will see who is checked in to the specific room and whether anyone has an issue with their SmartLock Pro access. From there, you'll be able to fix it.

16. Update Firmware

You should ensure your lock is up to date; if you are experiencing issues with the battery or WIFI, an old version of Firmware might be the reason.

Note

You can update it from Spaces App > access the room > 3 dot section > scroll down > "Update Firmware (Beta)"

17. Disconnect

If you want or need to disconnect the SmartLock Pro from a room, you can press the "Disconnect" button. Goki Spaces App will ask you again to double-check, and if you press the "disconnect" button again, it will be disconnected, and any active Pins and/or Smartkeys will be removed.
