One of the main features of Goki Smart Lock is automated access generation. The "Generate Access" automation is what makes this a possibility to generate a PIN and SmartKey is related to sending email when the PIN is changed.
Requirements:
Only trial and approved properties have access to the Autopilot feature.
Only users with the proper Autopilot permissions can view/edit this section.
When a reservation is checked in→, Generate access
This automation will create SmartKeys and PINs.
When access is generated → Send a notification or email “PIN generated.”
This will send the guest an email (or notification) after the Access/PIN is generated.
PIN email will contain the below information:PIN, Room and bed name, and Hostel rules(if any)

When guests get the web link in the PIN email, they can open the Goki web app to access their room without PIN and communicate with staff or download it.
Access Generation
Once the reservation is checked in, Goki can generate SmartKey and PINs. Turn the following automation cards on to get the result.
Important Notes:
If no lock is connected to the reservation's room, a PIN won't be generated, but related common areas. The PIN will be generated and sent to the guest in the PIN email.
Once the access is generated and the reservation is checked in, the PIN will be sent to the main booker email only, not to the companion. More information on group check-in is here.
If you want to resend a PIN to any other emails, you can do it from the Guest's profile or Reservation Drawer on the Goki dashboard as a staff or when the reservation is already checked in, go through Check in the app again.
If When access is generated → Send notification or email “PIN generated” autopilot is off, the PIN won't be emailed to the guest after they are checked in & the PIN is generated.
If the booker has the Goki App, the "PIN Generated" notification will be sent. It doesn't include a PIN, and Autopilot's card can customize notifications.
Generate access before check-in
You can generate access credentials before a reservation is checked in, allowing you to send the PIN to guests ahead of their arrival. This feature is highly customizable, making it ideal for remote sites without internet, Wi-Fi, or on-site reception and check-in services.
Notes:
PINs will be sent only if the state is "not checked in."
There are 15 minutes of tolerance in triggering actions. It means the access can be generated 15 minutes earlier than the time you set till 15 minutes after it.
Limitations:
If the PIN is already generated and the new PIN is the same as the old one, guests won't get the email automatically.
Generated PINs for not checked-in reservations won't work until check-in.
A new PIN will be generated and sent to the guest after check-in if the old PIN is generated more than 24 hours before ( or is before (or less)) if you change the reservation dates or room.
How to create:
Click + New Automation
Chose "Scheduled" from Triggers
Edit the time and save the Automation
Limitation
If the guests check in before hostel check-in time, their PIN doesn’t work till the check-in time arrives.
On the other hand, in this situation, if the guests go through the tablet Arrival process before the check-in time, they will see the activation time on the last screen message.
