Now that you have set-up your software, property info & installed the hardware - it's time to try it out!

Add your test emails to Settings > Emails Whitelist for test reservations - otherwise, you will not receive any reservation emails. You can have 10 test emails in your "Whitelist."

Step 2. Check Autopilot

Ensure you have turned on the Automation cards you require in Settings > Autopilot. These are explained in the Autopilot setup.

This is an optional add-on that can help you achieve automated check-ins. You can enable Goki check-in from Marketplace and customize it (Tablet/QR code check-in)


Please note: You can customize the check-in form and decide what fields the guest must complete upon check-in.


Step 4: Create a Test Reservation using your PMS

Once you have enabled the connection with your PMS account in Goki Marketplace, you can automate Smartkey/PIN generation, check-in, and more. If you are not using PMS integration, you can Create a Reservation using Goki Mini PMS to test the SmartLock Pros.

Email - The email you use to make this reservation will be used in Goki App to find your booking.

Room - Pick the room number for your reservation in line with the SmartLock Pro that you have connected.

Dates - Pick yesterday as the start date and then make the reservation for a few days to get the full experience.

State - Change the state to 'Checked-in' to receive the email with your unique PIN and SmartKey.


Please note

While your account is still in trial mode, you won't need to worry about spamming your guests. Add your test emails to Settings > Emails Whitelist for test reservations - otherwise, you will not receive any reservation emails. You can have 10 test emails added to your "Whitelist".


Step 6: Download the Goki App.

Use the email you used when creating a reservation, and it will find that booking. Ensure the property has been set up properly with Basic Settings, Activities & Suggestions. You can now open the SmartLock with your phone (assuming you are checked into the room that the SmartLock is connected to).

Step 7. Open the SmartLock

  • Once checked in, the email you used in the reservation will receive the Goki Check-in email with the unique PIN and the option to download the Goki App.

  • To test its functionality, you can then open the SmartLock with a PIN or Smartkey from the Goki App. Within the Goki App, you can find the booking by searching for your confirmation number, and you can open your room using Smartkey.


Please note

  • The PIN and Smartkey will be active only after the property check-in time is passed, but you can use goki Early check-in. With this feature, you can let the guest access the room even before check-in time. This is set by the Property via:

  • Goki Dashboard > Basic information > Danger Zone > Turn on "Early check-in toggle

  • All batteries have been de-charged to below 30% to meet air freight requirements during the delivery. Please make sure to charge them fully before starting to set them up as the low battery read might cause connection issues.


Warning

If you type the incorrect PIN by mistake more than four times in a row, a little alarm sound will be on, and the SmartLock Pro screen will freeze for about 4 minutes - after you will be able to insert the PIN again.


Goki has built an instant communication system between properties and guests. When you send a message, guests will receive notifications and it instantly appears in their messages on the Goki App.

Final Steps for Going Live

Complete these steps before we can approve your account:

When you have done enough testing, installed the hardware, and are ready to go live, you need to contact the support team to verify your account and to check your configuration to make sure you are using Goki at its full potential.

Checklist & Requirements to go live

You must complete the following steps before contacting Goki support to approve your account.

  1. Your property profile and basic information are fully set up, including high-quality photos.

  2. Your Autopilot is configured how you need it (if not, no emails will go out, and room access won't be granted automatically).

  3. If you are using an external PMS, make sure it's connected properly via Goki Marketplace.

  4. Your rooms and beds are created & added, and mapped to your PMS.

  5. You have read/ watched, and understood all necessary Goki Academy videos and articles.

  6. You have added/updated your credit card details, so the invoices will be paid automatically using your default payment card.

Please note: Once you are "Live", your account will be visible to anyone using the Goki App, and we will promote your property to other Goki users.

The idea is to have fun! Pretend to be a guest - understand the guest's journey, create reservations for other staff members, and play around with the system.
